The Al Qasimi Foundation Internship Program offers a unique opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to gain hands-on, community-impactful experience in the United Arab Emirates. This 3-month internship is ideal for students interested in public policy and social development—especially those considering graduate studies or eager to apply their academic knowledge in real-world research and innovation settings.
While the Foundation traditionally focuses on public policy, education, and development, it actively encourages students from Computer Science, data analytics, multimedia, public relations, and technology-driven fields to apply, particularly if their skills can support ongoing projects and digital transformation.

Collaborate on research, data collection & analysis, multimedia storytelling, software tools, or digital communication.
Receive mentorship and contribute to a final policy brief or creative project that will be published on the Foundation’s website.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
📚 Current undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate within the last 2 years)
🏫 Good academic standing at an accredited university
🗣️ English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL iBT 85+ (if English is not your first language)
💼 Relevant background in one of the following:
Public Policy, Education, Public Health, Urban Development
OR Computer Science, Multimedia, Data Science, or Translation, if relevant to the Foundation’s current needs
🌍 Interest in Ras Al Khaimah, the UAE, and the broader Gulf region
🔍 Selection Criteria
Interns are selected based on:
Academic merit and relevant coursework
Professionalism of application materials
Alignment between your skills and the Foundation’s current projects
Preference is given to students who:
Plan to pursue graduate studies
Have an interest in applied research
Demonstrate potential to innovate in education or policy through tech-based solutions
📝 How to Apply
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis (apply early for better chances).
You must prepare and submit the following documents in English:
Online Application Form (available on the Foundation's website)
Cover Letter explaining:
Your relevant background and experience
What you hope to gain from the internship
How this internship supports your career goals
Your preferred dates/duration
Resume (CV) with academic, professional, and extracurricular highlights
Intro Video (1-minute) introducing yourself and what makes you unique
Writing Sample (academic work or technical report)
2 Recommendation Letters (can be in Arabic if necessary)
📅 Internship Schedule
Internship duration: up to 3 months
Flexible start and end dates based on both applicant and Foundation needs
All accepted applications are kept on file for 12 months in case new opportunities arise
